Write That Book
On-Boarding

We are a creative community of writers, authors, and editors with a passion to share our voices.
Welcome!
I’m excited that you’re here. There is great wisdom to be shared.
Pen To Paper Writers Circle is a membership program for writers. I created this writers circle utilizing a “blog post” layout to build a library-type atmosphere so you can revisit the growing content and future members to explore our insights.
An access link to the weekly discussion (Zoom) will be emailed to you in advance of our time together.
If you have any questions or comments you wish to share, please use the Contact Us page.
Expectations
Pen To Paper Writers Circle is a sacred space for us to create, be held accountable, and receive support from other writers.
For us to feel free to express our creativity, there are guidelines you are required to follow:
- Respect. It is vital that you are respectful of each other’s privacy, story and well-being. Treat fellow circle members the way you feel you deserve to be treated. And, most importantly, be certain to respect yourself.
- No Copy Catting. Plagiarism* will not be tolerated. What is shared within this membership portal will remain within the walls of this portal. The only cats allowed are the fur-baring kind that reside with you (and probably walking across your keyboard right now).
- No Judgement Zone. Be kind. We are all learning. A skill that is natural for one person may not for another individual. There is a difference between offering insights and critiquing versus criticism and being destructive. This applies to the internal voice that looms in the darkness of your mind waiting for the opportunity to tell you mean and untrue things about yourself.
- Do Your Best. Need I say more? We all have days that suck the giggles out of us, and periods of time that we feel like we can climb Mount Everest. Be gentle on yourself. Have fun. Write!
In all seriousness, the inability to follow these guidelines will result in your removal from the membership (no refunds will be given).
*Plagiarism – noun – The practice of taking someone else’s work or ideas and passing them off as one’s own.
What To Bring To The Table
This is a membership created for those with a strong desire to write, learn, and hone skills. What you put into the membership will be exactly what you get out of it.
The thoughts and beliefs you hold on tightly to in regards to your skills will affect your outcome. Be gentle on yourself. All of us have an ego begging for attention and eager to berate our efforts. This will be something we work on together as a supportive community. As they say in the movies, “Baby, you got this.”
I recommend you bring the following to the table: your manners; a mug of your favorite beverage (hydration is important, you know); pen and paper for writing, doodling and note-taking; one writing project you wish to focus on; and, a light-hearted sense of humor.
